Description
Designed by Sir Sydney Camm, the Hurricane first flew in 1935. It was used during the Battle of France, Operation Dynamo and the Battle of Britain where it became known as the ‘workhorse’ of the RAF. As a steady and robust gun platform it was tasked to attack the invading German bombers with great effectiveness. The Hurricane continued to be produced in many variants right through to the end of the war.
We digitally print using an Epson Surecolor F2100. The process involves spraying the image area with a water-based glue so the fabric will accept the coloured ink. The shirt is then heat-pressed to cure the ink. When the shirt is new, the sprayed area will appear faintly behind the design with the odd splatter of glue. This will disappear in the first wash. We recommend washing inside out on a cold wash and do not tumble dry. All our shirts will have a removable Flyingraphics tag and will be sealed in a clear plastic bag to keep the shirt fresh and clean.
